GUWAHATI: The distance between Dhubri to Phulbari which is around 203 Km will soon be reduced to just 18 km. The proposed bridge will be around 18 km in length will connect Assam and Meghalaya, reducing the detouring road distance by about 203 km from Dhubri to Phulabari.
L& T bagged the contract being the lowest bidder at Rs 3,200 crore for a four lane road bridge across river Brahmaputra from Dhubri to Phulbari on NH 127 B,” National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) officials announced on Monday.
The four-lane bridge will be financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as a part of its investment for the development of the northeastern region.
